21st century student competencies that must be realized by schools as educational institutions are manifesting students who have CREATIVE thinking ability, CRITICAL thinking ability, COMMUNICATION skills and COLLABORATION skills. To realize this concept, the world of education is currently familiar with the STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematic) approach, which is a learning model that integrates the capabilities of Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in learning. This applicative thinking ability encourages students to be able to think holistically through the Project Base Learning approach and Problem Base Learning which trains the four abilities of 21st century.
PENABUR PLUS tries to consistently direct its learning program with integrated learning with the STEM Concept as a way to realize graduates who have critical thinking, creative thinking, communication skills and collaboration skills with project-based or problem-based learning approaches. With full direction given by STEM Expert from Australia, Mr. DAVID NUCHEY. Mr. David Nutchey and the assistants teachers of the Junior High School creatively design interesting learning for students through STEM. "We involve all students’ participation, and we try to solve real problems in society with the approach of science technology and engineering, so that children really experience and solve the problems themselves ..." said Mr. Agung Nugroho as ‘partner” team-teaching with Mr. David Nuchey.
The students also enjoyed the learning."It’s great and fun!”, said Paula, a 7th Grader student. “It doesn’t feel like we are learning Science but actually we did. We can use this to apply or find various ways of solving everyday problems”. With fun learning the results will be better.
Okay, enjoy your STEM learning guided by experts from Australia!
