Last August 8, the Cirebon City Environmental Service (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup) held a Poster Design Competition to commemorate World Environment Day. The big theme is Ecosystem Restoration for a Sustainable Environmental Future.
Two SMPK-SMAK Plus PENABUR Cirebon students, Giovanna Benedicta (now a Grade X student) and Tesalonika Shallom Suria (now a Grade IX student), participated in the competition. Giovana carries the sub-theme of Waste Management in the poster design and Shallom carries the theme of Planting and Caring for Trees.
Praise to God, the two representatives of the schools are got awards. Giovanna was ranked second while Shallom was ranked fourth out of forty six participants among schools in Cirebon.
Hopefully through this competition awareness of the importance of protecting the environment will grow. In addition, the ability to make works for Vanna and Shallom is getting more skilled.
